We regularly receive enquiries about the practical application of technical regulations. For example, we answer questions about the HBS and provide further information. (only in German)
The HBS contains standardised procedures that can be used to determine the capacity of different types of road transport facilities in relation to infrastructure and traffic conditions and, on this basis, to assess the quality of traffic flow. It also includes procedures for determining the traffic demand required for such an assessment. This is known as the design traffic volume.
