International cooperation

Supporting the international cooperation in the field of roads and transport is another important task of the FGSV.

Cooperations

The Research Association for Roads and Transport collaborates closely with corresponding associations in the neighbouring countries of the Netherlands (CROW), Austria (FSV), Switzerland (VSS) and Poland (PKD) as well as with Hungary (MAUT) and runs information meetings with the research associations of these countries.

In this context, joint events are held regularly with the aim of dealing with different topics internationally and finding common solutions. The annual D-A-CH information conference and the biennial CROW information conference deserve to be highlighted in this context.

National Committee of the World Road Association

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), the FGSV acts as the German National Committee for the World Road Association (PIARC).

The D-A-CH information event

About 2–3 months after the D-A-CH information event, the results of the workshops are published in the FGSV's magazines Straße und Autobahn (Highway and Motorway) and Straßenverkehrstechnik (Road Traffic Engineering).
