Here you will get support when you have technical questions and for the implementation and publication of your research projects. You will also get interdisciplinary contacts and interesting opportunities for sharing information with others in the field and getting involved in our road and transport events or in our committees, working groups and other bodies.

FGSV services for all those working in academia, science or research on subjects relating to roads and transport

At the FGSV, research needs are identified, projects are supported, and results are implemented by being applied in technical standards and specifications. We also put you in contact with people of interest and interdisciplinary partners in research and offer you the opportunity to publish your results in our publications. Make sure that your academic and research work benefits from all the advantages of a strong, independent community that works closely with other relevant research institutes and is extremely well connected at international level through the World Road Association (PIARC).

Your one-stop shop for knowledge

With our Information and Documentation Unit, library and comprehensive databases, the FGSV is your one-stop shop for a wide range of information relating to roads and transport and offers you a broad insight into subjects currently being researched.

The FGSV literature service

Tell us the subject you are interested in, and our team in the Information and Documentation Unit will either draw up a list of the relevant specialist information and articles or deliver the material right to your door.

FGSV events

Representatives of all parts of the road and transport sector meet and share knowledge at FGSV conferences, seminars, colloquia and congresses. Use this platform of specialists to present the results of your research and to network with others in the sector.

We'll put you in touch with colleagues and experts in the road and transport sector

One of the FGSV's greatest strengths is that it is an interdisciplinary network of representatives of academia, business, politics and administration in Germany. This means that we will be able to put you in touch with people who can provide you with very specific information, opinions or insights or help you get your research findings put into practice. Network with other members and learn about problems in the field so that you can do targeted research in that area. Alternatively, you can use our network of representatives of public authorities to implement your research findings.

Membership of the FGSV

Membership in the FGSV offers you more than just the opportunity to network with experts and colleagues from various parts of the road and transport sector, it also gives you access to reduced rates for technical standards and specifications and events.

Networking at international level

As the German national committee for the World Road Association (PIARC), we also promote international co-operation within the road and transport sector. Join us and network at international level and present your research findings to an international audience.
